Procuring a degree in Art Education forces the student to become involved in many different areas. We had classes in painting, oils, acrylics and watercolors, sculpture in metal and wood, jewelry making, ceramics and the potter's wheel, figure drawing, print making, and then the design courses and much more. Needless to say I enjoy creating so I dabble in stain glass, sewing, concrete, timber framing, ceramic tile, photoshop and even this web site.
I have begun an "accent" door collection. They are all one of a kind, non objective and are sold, with knobs and hinges for wall decor or as "easel Art". Each piece is signed by me and dated for authenticity. I would be happy to do "accent" doors on already existing doors in your home.
This is an example of the "accent" on antique brown and also on white.
Sculpture can be rewarding even though trying at times. Often times the model at hand, is the one to use.
These bottles are quite pretty. They come in many shapes and colors. The wood turnings are for fun. The bottles are resting on some frames I made then painted and stretched acoustical cloth around for the covering of speakers in an entertainment center.
Stained glass is so beautiful. It also takes on a lovely change in the dark with a bug light behind it. Don't laugh until you try it.
